In another example of things not exactly going to plan for Putin, the Russian frontline looks like it has collapsed in the Kharkiv Oblast
With the repositioning of Russian troops to reinforce the defensive efforts in Kherson oblast, which was assumed to be the focus on all Ukrainian efforts before the winter, it appears that the Russians have left their defences in the north
There is no indication of where the offensive is intended to end, with the successive victories likely to encourage further offfensives. However, it appears that Russian soldiers are awaiting reinforcements in the city of Svatove in Luhansk Oblast
This has led to questions about the ability of Russian soldiers to continue occupying territory, as logistical issues, moral issues, and a lack of manpower in various regions is taking it’s toll
Due to the collapse of the front lines, and the rapid, blitzkrieg-like advance of the Ukrainian military, there have been many stories of Russian soldiers retreating or being taken prisoner
It was claimed that the Russian 202th regiment operating in Kharkiv was completely abandoned by its commanders according to reports, left without communication or command
